UH Arts Open House

Celebrate and experience UH arts, live! The UH Arts Open House features on-site screen printing from the School of Art, theatre performances from the School of Theatre & Dance, dynamic readings from the Creative Writing Program, Red Block Bash activities with Blaffer Gallery/Blaffer Student Association, live music from Moores School, free food and drink, plus raffle drawings.  Come see whats happening at UH this fall season!

Highlights include:
  •  A costume and stage prop “petting zoo” presented by the School of Theatre & Dance.
  • Site specific collaborative performance from UH Dance students under the direction of associate professor of dance Teresa Chapman.
  • Screen printing and artwork by UH School of Art student Jay Giroux.
  • Live music from the Moores School of Music including the Spirit of Houston Marching Band and UH Jazz Trio with Robert Wolf (guitar), Glen Ackerman (bass) and J.D. Guzman (drums).
  • Readings from Creative Writing Program students Hannah Gamble, Jane Koh, Carrie Oeding, Kent Shaw, and Tiffany Thor.
  • Inflatable sculpture installations by UH School of Art student David Graeve.
  • Performances from UH improv troupe Scatter.
